Welcome to ‘The Blog at SJEPartners.com’. We have looked forward to kicking off ’The Blog’, and the revised website, for a long time. But it has been well worth the wait.

SJE Partners, LLC was founded almost 10 years with the mission to help business leaders, CEO’s, COO’s CFO’s and HR execs, build HR organizations, and HR capability, that will help them meet their organizational objectives.

I have been in Human Resources for over thirty years, and at an executive level for 15 of those years. During that time I have built successful and effective HR teams that were true business partners, and have hired and developed excellent HR talent. Our approach was simple.  When you look at high performing teams, whether in business, sports or music, you will find at least these three similarities:

• Finding the best talent, internally and externall
• Giving them a great place to work, 
• Training them to continue being the best.

That approach works at the HR department level, as well as companywide.

It has been frustrating to see my profession often shut out of the decision making process, and relegated to the ‘control and administer’ role. Very often, it has been a result of our own focus and performance. About 10 years ago I decided to try and change that dynamic, and set up SJE Partners.
